I knew before hand that there was going to be a student protest today in London, but I was intending on avoiding it. However, on my way to trafalgar square, I was bombarded with photographers, journalists and police all preparing for the march through London.

I decided it may be worth my while capturing the build up to it and also some of the actual protest in action. I found the whole experience quite exhilarating to be honest as I didn’t really know what to expect. It was quite overwhelming at times, because there was a lot was going on and I felt I had to constantly film every single moment for the sake of missing something important.

Here are some more photos I took of the demonstration. I’m glad I did some filming of this event as it really shows the current status of the mood of society. This protest was in relation to the increase of the tuition fees due to eduction cuts made by the government.

Today, I definitely felt like a photojournalist for the first time!
